I watched a Joyce Meyer DVD on Friday night and as always it was brilliant! She said so many things that just made total sense. As we were watching I told my husband that she was in her 70's and he couldn't believe it. I had to ask Doctor google her exact age and it turned out to be 73. We were both amazed at her good health. In this teaching she was talking about how she kept diaries of the last 32 years and how much she loves going back and seeing what God has done in her life. I was thinking how amazing that was and how I never thought of that. I must admit that I felt a little bit of regret seeing that writing is one of my passions and God has done so many amazing things in my life.
The next morning I opened my eyes and thought of this diary thing and I quickly did the maths. I worked out that she was more or less 41 when she started keeping a diary and just realized that it is never too late to start with anything. We think because we are not in our 20's anymore it's too late, but this is only the beginning. The beginning of something big and no matter what your age, it's never too late to start with your dream! It's also never too late to change your dreams, it's okay to change course in your life! There is no rule that says you must finish in the end with exactly what you started with.
I studied interior design and I love it. My husband and I have many dreams in this specific area but the time is not right. Although I studied it more than 10 years ago, and I have never really done much with this qualification, doesn't mean I won't ever use it and it also doesn't mean I waisted my time. God just needs me somewhere else for the time being.
No matter what you dream, you can take it on at any age and if God's favor is for your dream, it will happen! With a bit of patience and time, encouragement and perseverance..... We can pretty much do what ever we want.
I was chatting to someone I know on Friday afternoon and she is also a mom of 2. She told me that she started working in the mornings and how good it is for her! What really hit home was that she decided to this for herself and she is finishing something she started many years ago and never finished! I love this! How often do we start something but get side tracked by life and we don't finish! How often don't we allow ourselves to finish because we are moms and because we have other things that needs our attention. No matter how we look at it, if you have a passion and God can use you in that passion, He will bless you with what ever you need to be the best that He needs you to be.
Its never too late to start and it's never too late to finish what you started a long time ago! If something is on your heart then it's God telling you to move forward and take it on!!! With God on our side, we can pretty much do anything we want!!! He will give you the strength and He will take you to the next level. All we need is dedication, hard work and a ear to hear God ❤️
