Celebrating Womanhood
Women's Day is a time to honor and celebrate the remarkable achievements and contributions of women around the world. It's a day to reflect on the progress we've made and the challenges we've overcome. There are infinite potential that resides within each woman. I am a woman, a Jesus girl and God has done so much for me in my life. On this special day I want to highlight womanhood pointing out Christian faith. We can inspire and empower each other and that's what makes us so special.
Identify and Purpose
Women are seen as cherished and integral parts of God's divine plan. Just as Eve was created as a companion and helper for Adam, women are celebrated for their unique strengths and qualities. Proverbs 31:25 beautifully captures the essence of a strong woman: "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." One of my favorite verses.
Faith reminds me that I AM fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), instilling a sense of self-worth and purpose. Once we realise how beautifully we've been created in the image of God we can embrace our unique identity and walk confidently on our life's journey.
Overcoming Adversity
Throughout history, countless women have faced adversity with unwavering faith. This however is not easy. The story of Esther exemplifies courage, as she risked her life to save her people, saying, "And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14). Esther's bravery and reliance on God's guidance remind us that even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges, our faith can empower us to rise above.
It is by far not easy. Life can really chuck us around and try break us, but we are strong enough to rise to any occasion life throws at us.
Inner Strength
We are born with it. All of us! And if you believe then the Christian faith teaches us that our strength comes from the Lord. Philippians 4:13 affirms, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This promise reassures us that regardless of the obstacles we encounter, we are never alone. And there will be days where we feel completely alone, but this comforts us and leaves us knowing we will be okay. As women we have a wellspring of inner strength that propels us forward, nurturing resilience and fortitude.
Relationships
We as women have an ability to cultivate deep and meaningful relationships. The Christian principle of love and unity focuses the importance of building connections that uplift and inspire. Galatians 3:28 emphasizes the equal value of all believers: "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." This truth encourages us to be better. Live without judgement in our hearts and without envy. But to rather foster a supportive community that thrives on shared believes, respect, love and example.
It's mostly important to have a good relationship with yourself as woman because self-love is the beginning of all love. Have grace with yourself and for yourself. Remember every day is a new day to learn and love more.
Our Future Generations
I as woman have chosen to do things a little different and the reason for this has always been to make a difference in the generation I leave behind. #flippinggenerations
Just as women throughout history have left a lasting legacy of faith, today's women have the opportunity to shape the future of our children. Proverbs 22:6 encourages us to "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Our actions and teachings have the potential to positively impact generations to come, instilling compassion, values, integrity and resilience.
Happy Woman's Day
I chose to focus my attention to woman of the Bible and find my inner strength from the only place I know. Even when beaten down we are never defeated, and I know this through faith and woman who has empowered me during my difficult times. Let's continue to make a difference and leave a legacy that will live long after we are gone.
The stories of strong women from the Bible serve as beacons of hope and courage, guiding us to live purposefully and make a lasting impact on the world still today. Let us stand united in faith, celebrating the remarkable journey of womanhood and the divine potential that resides within each and every woman.
